Description
This original watercolor captures the raw energy of Low Tide in Cornwall. The piece is inspired by Porthtowan. I omitted landmarks to focus entirely on the sea and sand. This allows the wild spirit of the coast to speak for itself.
At extreme low tide, a walking path opens to Chapel Porth. However, the water here is highly unpredictable. Powerful rip currents cause the tide to rush in at unusual angles. To mimic this churning surf, I applied gesso to the surface. This creates a tangible, raised texture where the foam meets the shore.

Delivery & Shipping Options
Local Collection (Redruth + 25 Miles)
The painting is currently housed in a deep white pine frame measuring 345 x 422 mm, with a cream mount. Due to the high risk of glass breakage in the post, the fully framed piece is only available for collection or local delivery within 25 miles of Redruth.
National Shipping (Unmounted)
If you are located further away, I am happy to ship the artwork (free of charge) unmounted, the size is 184 x 264 mm. This ensures the piece arrives in perfect condition and gives you the freedom to choose a frame that matches your decor. I suggest a standard 14 x 11 inch or 16 x 12 inch frame with a wide mount to give the piece a premium feel.
