Sennen is definitely one of my favourite places in Cornwall, I mean it is just stunning and here are some of my paintings and sketches. Click on the painting to view a larger version of the painting.
Some were painted “en plair air” when I ventured down to West Penwith and the beautiful area of Sennen Cove.
I also found a good little spot in the car park, leaning against the wall, where I was able to put my paints, this gave me a great view of the beach, which was looking superb at low tide with its white sands exposed.
We climbed up the hill to the old Coastguard Station, so I could look back at the beach and sketched the Harbour and Lifeboat Station, as well as the beach and surrounding hills.
Whilst it was a glorious Sunday, I must confess a little cold to be painting outside! I need to remember my fingerless gloves if I am going to continue to paint outside in February!
