Description
This painting is of Porth Kidney sands at low tide, shown from the Hayle beach side, looking past the Hayle river, with the sand stretches out in front of you. Even on the busiest day Porth Kidney Sands is a tranquil spot and I have tried to capture that peaceful feeling in this painting.
If you have ever caught the local train to St Ives from St Erth then you will have looked down on the stunningly beautiful Porth Kidney Sands. This vast stretch of sand stretches from Hayle Estuary round to Hawk’s Point at Carbis Bay, especially at low tide. It is completely natural and access is either via the foodpath over the sand dunes from Lelant or Carbis Bay, or by parking at Dynamite Quay and walking along the estuary.
This painting is A5 (210 x 148 mm) and is supplied mounted to fit a standard A4 (297x 210 mm) frame that can be purchased from high street retailer, so you can choose a frame to match your decor.
