Living in Cornwall, some of my favourite moments at the beach happen when the weather turns atmospheric. In this painting, I wanted to capture the contrast between rolling storm clouds and the subtle shimmer of the wet sand at low tide. The cool, muted tones and gentle white-water ripples bring out the tranquil solitude of the coast.
