Description
This 6 x 6 card printed card is of a watercolour of the entrance to Portreath Harbour. A different side of Portreath – the long harbour wall. With the waves crashing against the Monkey Hut on the end of the harbour wall, taking the full force of the water.
I painted this from a photograph my husband took a few years ago and it shows how the Monkey Hut, a distinctive stone shelter, has taken a battering from the waves over the years. Sadly the storms of 2014 took its toil on the Monkey Hut and it got washed away, however the Council rebuilt it, trying to be as exact as it can be.
