Description
An original watercolour painting of a beach at low tide in Cornwall, using gesso to create the texture of the surf as it reaches the shore.
I love low tide on a Cornish beach, this is actually Porthtowan, although there are no landmarks as I have focused on the sea and sand. At very low tide you can walk from Porthtowan to Chapel Porth, and the tide comes in at funny angles due to the rip tide currents that make this beach quite dangerous to swim in.
