I love Godrevy so I tend to paint this scene very many times! The colours in this painting are quite muted to reflect a hot summers day in Cornwall, as the colours become quite hazy in the heat.
You can walk in the shallows for quite a way, with just a gentle roll of the surf onto the sand, leaving small pieces of sea foam behind on the beach. It just perfect for a walk in the shallows especially walking towards the Lighthouse.
