Menorca, one of the Balearic Islands, is the quiet neighbour of Majorca. Like so many countries in the Mediterranean Sea is has been ruled over by many nationalities and this is now reflected in the architecture and culture of the island. Cuitadella, the ancient capital, was once governed by the Moors and this is reflected in its beautiful buildings. Fornells on the north coast, a quiet fishing village, where the King of Spain sometimes visits to enjoy his favourite Lobster dish.

This is one of my favourite holiday destinations, what could be better than to sit under a sun canopy, sipping an ice cold lager, in beautiful sunshine and painting. Pure bliss.
