I have been enjoying painting in my new studio in the garden, Murphy even comes and keeps me company now that it is getting colder. (He usually sleeps in the greenhouse, but doesn’t look too impressed with having his photography taken!)
I have been working on this painting of St Ives for sometime now, it is much larger than I usually paint, with lots of distant buildings and close-up boats, again not my usual style but it is all about developing, so that is what I am doing. Still work to be done on it, but this is the current state of play, I may even include a before and after at the end!
I also just started on a new painting of Godrevy, nicely dark and brooding, haven’t included much of the sea yet, so that should make a difference. But hopefully a quicker piece of work than St Ives (which I started in April of this year!)
hi Henry Colchado, this is really inttreseing i have also been obsessively drawing and painting what i call my flying eye fish they are surrealist paintings of eyes with fins and a tail, flying in the sky. its so amazing how two people can have similar ideas. im an artist based in new zealand and have been looking for similar stuff to my own works, just because its inttreseing to see other peoples interpretations of similar ideas. i love playing with symbols and imagery of body organs to create new meaning. i was so pleased to see your work. best of luck for the future!jasmine, new zealand.
